Busy. You ask anyone how they have been, there’s a good chance they are going to tell you how busy they are. Whether it’s a demanding job, needy children, a time-consuming side hustle, or all of the above, we all could benefit from products that are no-bullshit, practical and effective. If something saves me 10 minutes in the morning and gives me the luxury of a hot coffee, or a few extra minutes in bed, you bet your sweet little bum I’m going to use it.

Bobbi Brown 5-in1 Essential Face Palette*

This palette is almost all you need when it comes to make-up on the go. Including a concealer, corrector, foundation, face powder and blush, the 5-in-1 palette is an essential in any busy babes collection. All of the products are up to the Bobbi Brown incredibly high standard. The colour corrector and concealer are perfect for that under-eye discolouration. The foundation, powder and bronzer work so well at evening out skin tone and making me look alive.  This palette is great to pop into your handbag/babybag to have on hand if you’re looking like a hot mess and need to freshen up. I cannot fault it.

Maybelline Tattoo Brow

If you had a gander at my previous blog post, you’d know that I recently had my brows tattooed. This has been my biggest time-saver yet. However, I understand that this isn’t the most budget friendly option. So, I give you the Tattoo Brow. This nifty little brow prod tints your brows for 3 days, so you can go without filling them in for a little while. The tint peels off after 15 minutes and gives you instagram worthy eyebrows without much effort at all.

IMG_5721

Now, as much as I am a makeup lover, I know that your makeup only looks as good as the skin underneath. Time and effort spent on getting your skin into tip-top shape not only makes your make up look its best, but also allows you the confidence to go without. Minimal makeup means more time on your hands to get shit done.

img_3234

Cinch Face Cheat

This. I am all about this bottle of magic. Face Cheat is another 5-in-1 product (Who knew there were so many?) that is all about glowing hydration on the go. The spray delivery makes it a ridiculously easy moisturiser to use. But not only does it hydrate, it illuminates, as well as acting as a primer, pore-filler and anti-ageing treatment. No other moisturiser makes me look as fresh and healthy in one simple spray. I keep this within reach to ensure my skin is getting a little bit of loving and to make me look as fresh as a daisy.

IMG_3258

Pre-Soaked Chemical Exfoliator Pads

If you have known me for any amount of time, you would know my undying love for chemical exfoliators.  But, if you are new to my little corner of the inter-webs, just know that AHA’s are my number 1 skincare product, by far. I have been drawn to pre-soaked pads recently, because it makes it all too easy to swipe all over my face one-handed while feeding Bubba Lou, blogging or carrying out all my domestic goddess duties. I have been using and loving the Murad Rapid Resurfacing Peel*, First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads*, and Go-To Skincare Exfoliating Swipeys. Dr Dennis Gross’ Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peels are my ride or die, but because I am breastfeeding it is best to steer clear of BHAs.

These bad boys and a good moisturiser are absolute essentials in my day. Regardless of how tired I am, I make sure I at least follow this two step routine to make my skin look fresh and healthy, even when I am running on 2 hours sleep.

IMG_2147

Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon*

Speaking of moisturiser, this special little guy has been getting workout! What is better than a product that works its little butt off for you? It is one that does so while you sleep, while actually helping you drift off at the same time. This is actual sorcery. Sound Sleep is a gel like cream that works with your skin’s natural overnight recovery mode to replenish and repair, enabling you to wake up luminous and fresh without any sign of fatigue in sight. It contains essential oils (Lavender, Sandalwood and Patchouli) to promote a deep and restful sleep. This product is an absolute dream – pun most definitely intended.

IMG_8820

Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Mask*

While on the topic of sleep, it is really clever to utilise this time to make products work for you. This is another overnight mask that will have your skin glowing without needing to put in much effort at all. This particular mask targets  lifeless, sagging skin (the new mum type of skin) and transforms it into younger-looking, silky soft skin. This delicious smelling gel dries down pretty quickly, so you are not dirty-ing up your pillowcase (yay for less washing) and you wake up bright and fresh.

Facetune_05-03-2018-18-28-18

Laneige Sleeping Lip Mask*

This is another little miracle in a tub. I have chronically dry lips, and I mean chronic. It has previously felt like a constant battle trying to make my lips feel plump, smooth and flake free. But this has been my absolute saviour. I no longer need spend half the day applying balm to my lips. This sweet smelling thick and creamy balm is applied before bed and gets to work treating that sweet little pout of yours. It is comfortable on the lips, not sticky but smooth and buttery. When I wake up there is still the slightest little slick of balm there and my lips feel so bloody soft. I have noticed a huge difference in the condition of my lips and feel so confident when wearing liquid lipsticks, knowing that I won’ t have any little dry scraggly bits. An absolute winner and time saver.

Hair

When it comes to hair, I have always been a bit lazy.  My hair is pretty oily, so most days I just wash it and let it air dry, only occasionally making the effort to actually style it. But with time being limited, I haven’t been able to wash or style it as often. Recently I have been reaching for products that refresh hair between washes and products that prolong my hairstyling. NAK Aromas Style Therapy* is a fabulous spray that acts similarly to a dry shampoo but with the added benefit of revamping styles while adding a touch of body to flat-looking slept in hair.  OUAI Memory Mist* is another similar product that allows you to get the most out of your blowdried, curled or straightened locks. This however is used before styling to make your style last longer. Both sprays include a heat protectant, so you get more bang for your buck.

I know this was a hella long post, but hopefully there’s a few products mentioned that will save you some valuable time in the long run.

OFRA @ RY.com.au {Review} RY MUA Store

irstly, the sight of this little beauty alone give my those makeup tingly feelings… everyone get those right?! Right?! From the stunning pale gold shade, to the beautiful detail in the press, this little baby really is set to impress.

I was lucky enough to be gifted some ultra swoon-worthy products from RY.com.au for the purpose of reviewing.  After lusting after OFRA products for so long, I finally have some in my hot little hands. See below for my thoughts and a NON-affiliate code (meaning I make no money of it) to save you some coin.

IMG_1928

OFRA Rodeo Drive Highlight

Firstly, the sight of this little beauty alone give my those makeup tingly feelings… everyone get those right?! Right?! From the stunning pale gold shade, to the beautiful detail in the press, this little baby really is set to impress.  With glowing reviews (pun intended), I was super interested in getting this all up in my grill and making me glow like a disco ball. From first swatch, it is easy to see the amount of gorgeous pigmentation. I did however note that it is a little on the powdery side, which is not really concerning but I just thought I would mention. The highlight does swatch beautifully and feels super silky on the skin, but I have found that highly pigmented highlighters don’t always translate well on the skin. But I should not have been worried because, boy does this deliver. The formula is super buttery, pigmented and glides on the face seamlessly. It is easily diffused for a lovely not-too OTT glow, or you can pack it on for that Instagram glam look.

IMG_1933

OFRA Illuminating Blush Stripes

This is another simply stunning product. Similar to the highlight, the formula is SUPER pigmented and buttery, plus it is just oh-so dreamy to look at. My only ‘sort of’ negative comment on this product would be its name. There is no way that these shimmers could be considered anything other than a highlight, especially not a blush or bronzer. As you can see from first glance into the pan, the stripes, although stunning shades, are not what you could call a blush. Varying from an icy white, pink and peach to a deep golden bronze, all of these shades are super glowy and shimmery and would be best suited to highlighting your face, or even used as a shimmery eyeshadow. That being said, it is a gorgeous product that allows you to create your own personalised hue from the various colours and it is certainly buildable, which gives you control over how little or how much glow you want on your precious little mug.

IMG_1931

OFRA Long-Lasting Liquid Lipstick

I am a huge lover of liquid lipstick, but needless to say I am highly picky in regards to the formula. I need something light, long-wearing and mostly non-drying. I have a few favourite formulas, but I mostly find liquid lipstick to either ball up on the lips, emphasise dry skin or create dry skin. I have been really surprised and impressed with the OFRA formula. While I have only tried one shade and cannot speak for the whole range, the product that I do have just glides on to the lips like a dream. The staying power is fabulous and my lips stay soft and plump all day. Big win! I will definitely be investing in some more of these bad boys.

I also received some other goodies…

Olaplex No.3 Take Home Treatment

I have spoken about this numerous times on my blog . I swear by this at home hair treatment. It makes my blonde hair super healthy and soft, plus it reduces the amount of damage bleaching can cause. I chopped my hair into a lob about a year ago and I’ve since grown it out, it is now nipple length – that is a HUGE amount of growth in 12 months. During this time I have religiously used Olaplex and never has my hair grown so fast, nor has it been so damn healthy or thick. Even my hairdresser noticed.  I have had quite a few questions in regards to where this can be purchased from, I used to recommend specific hair salons, but now RY.com.au are offering it online. Hallelujah.

IMG_1896

Sachajuan Shine Serum

Yes! so much yes. This gorgeously silky serum woks wonders on my hair. It is super moisturising but doesn’t make my hair look limp or heavy; quite the opposite really. I have been using this almost daily and have noticed a huge difference in my dry ends. My hair is left smooth, shiny and as swooshy as a Herbal Essence ad.

Sachajuan Ocean Mist

While I have only used this twice, the Ocean Mist Spray really gives my hair a little bit of oompf. I applied it to damp hair and blow-dried for a voluminous look, that really enhanced my natural wave and gave my usually fine, flat hair a bit of body. This is definitely something I will continue to add into my hair styling routine.

Best in Beauty ’16

2016 – A year that was categorised by so many as one of the worst. For me, I wouldn’t say that 2016 was a particularly bad year, it was year with ups and downs, laughter and tears. I have an attitude of upwards and onwards every damn day, and to not get dragged down by trivial concerns.  I like to roll the the punches and just sit back and enjoy the ride.

blackbird

As we start the yearly cycle all over again, I wanted to highlight some of my favourite beauty discoveries in 2016 – This encompasses cosmetics, skincare and  health & well being. While it is not a definitive it does touch on many favourites. There is a very good chance I have already mentioned most of these products at one stage or another, but I will link any specific blog posts, and please let me know if you would like more in-depth writing about anything at all.

So strap yourself in, it is going to be a doozy of a post – I probably should have broken it down into 2 different posts, but what’s the fun in that.

MAKEUP

img_1489

Soleil Tan De Chanel has to be one of my absolute favourite makeup items this year.  For so long I read rave reviews, however I always struggled with the price point. I mean, how good could a cream bronzer possibly be? I can add depth to my face without spending over $50. I blame a combination of late night YouTube binging, a bad day and having many hours to kill in a shopping centre for this little purchase. But I think she was always meant to be mine. It may not work miracles, but it does so much more than just contour. Soleil Tan De Chanel adds warmth, depth, a natural looking sunkissed complexion and an overall look of healthy glowy goodness.  A little goes a long way, and after 6 months of almost daily use, I have hardly made a dint in its bronzed swirly magic. I like to blend it out with a damp Beauty Blender underneath my cheekbones, along my hairline and if I am feeling particularly feisty, along the sides of my nose to contour. I cannot stress to you enough how natural this looks and how beautifully it blends.

img_9711

As a total palette hoarder, how could I possibly only pick one to mention? Of course ABH Modern Renaissance has to be mentioned. The formula of this palette is unlike any other. It blends  together so perfectly and gives off this stunning satin sheen. The pink and red colour palette is spot on for me, what an absolute winner. But, my palette collection increased significantly this year and I just HAVE to show some love to a few others. I actually bought the Violet Voss Holy Grail palette well before ABH MR, and it really allowed me to dive into the world of red and burgundy.  The shade selection is insane, along with the pigment and quality. This little baby needs to be included in any warm toned collection.

img_9508

img_1172

I also have to mention Juvia’s Palace Nubian palette. What a little gem. The formula is buttery and soft, and applies so well to the lid. There is little to no fall out and the colour pay-off just makes my heart sing. An honourable mention has to go to Zoeva Blanc Fushion and Caramel Melange. Zoeva create the most stunning palettes and these newbies are no exception. I  have only had these guys for just over a month, but they have gotten so much use already.

img_2491

I have absolutely fallen head over heels in love with anything Stevie K Cosmetics. Stevie K is gaining traction in the beauty world, and for good reason. This incredible Australian indie makeup brand is just kicking goal after goal. I also have to mention that the Brand Manger, Kate is an absolute babe and I sort of want to be her. Their lipsticks are just perfection. They are pigmented, creamy, non-drying and long lasting. The packing is so sleek and sexy, plus the artwork on the box has been inspired by Melbourne Street Art. My personal favourites are ‘BEE‘ and ‘GIRLBOSS‘. They recently released a range of Colour Shot* single eyeshadows that are unlike anything I have every tried. The shades are so so so bright. I generally find that matte colours can be quite chalky and not overly pigmented, but Stevie K have completely changed that. The pigment and colour pay-off of these little babies seriously blows my mind-hole. I just adore ‘Faster Pussycat‘. I think everyone needs to jump onto the Stevie K bandwagon, there is nothing out there quite like the brand. I am so excited to see what the new releases are for the year.

img_5397

Speaking of Aussie brands, I have used the Eye Of Horus Mascara for a few years now and it is one of my favourite everyday mascaras. However, I recently discovered their dual brow* product and I know I have found a winner. The pencil is so easy to use, applies perfectly and is such a good colour (Mine is in the shade husk). But the brow gel is everything. It hold my brows in place like nothing else. Those bad boys are not moving. I love that my brows still look natural and not caked in product while being bullet-proof…well, not really. But you get what I mean.

img_3923

Lastly in makeup I have to include a few items from my new favourite brand, IT Cosmetics. Their Your Skin But Better CC+ Liquid Foundation and Pressed Powder has changed my daily makeup routine. The foundation is light, but full of coverage. It is long-lasting , controls my oil production and contains 50+ SPF. I simply adore it and really encourage everyone to try it. The CC+ pressed powder isn’t nearly as highly raved about, and I don’t know why. In my opinion, I like it better than it’s liquid counterpart – and that is saying something.  It isn’t heavy or cakey, it just provides the most gorgeous sheen. I find that it really controls my greasy T-zone while making my complexion look bright, healthy and quite natural. I like to use this baby by itself, or to set foundations. See-you-later-bye Austrlis Fresh and Flawless, Your Skin But Better CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder is my new number one.

SKINCARE

2016  was a year full of skincare. I really devoted much more time and energy into looking after my skin. So, needless to say that I discovered a whole heap of favourites. My absolute, above all, holy grail discovery was more of a concept or ingredient than a specific product. I really dig deep into the world of Chemical Exfoliation, and I know for a fact that this is what has really lifted my skincare game. It is what has made the most improvement to my skin’s texture, congestion and overall health. As a quick break down, physical scrubs buff away the dead skin cells on the surface, whereas chemical exfoliants (AHA’s and BHA’s) go deeper and penetrate more layers of skin. They dissolve dead skin cells and actually promote skin rejuvenation. I mostly stuck to using AHA’s like Glycolic Acid and Lactic acids, but I think I am going to look more into BHA’s this year.

IMG_5162 (2)

The first of three AHA based product I discovered this year was the Skinstitut Glycolic Scrub** – This product has the best of both worlds with it being both a chemical and physical exfoliator. I use this in the shower a couple of times a week and like most AHA’s you can actually feel it getting to work.  It leaves my skin super smooth, refined and even a little glowy. I am on my fourth tube, that is how much I adore it.

img_6154

The Beauty Chef Probiotic Skin Refiner is another really special product. Firstly, I love the whole concept behind the brand – Nourishing your skin from the outside in. This Toner is actually a by-product of another, but it has turned out to be an absolute winner. Not only does it rid the skin of pesky dead skin cells and congestion, but it also hydrates and boosts the skins collagen production. Need I say more? My skin is always left super soft and smooth, and I think that it allows my serums and moisturiser absorb easier.

img_2273

The next discovery I just have to mention is the Dr Dennis Gross Alpha-Beta Universal Daily Peel** – What a mouthful! As the name suggests, these little swipeys contain both Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids. This is a two-step system that exfoliates, treats and hydrates the skin all in one. I utterly adore not only the Dr Dennis Gross brand, but this product. While they are a little pricey, for as long as I can afford to, I will continue to purchase these. After only a few days use my skin looked so healthy and glowy. As a long time sufferer of texture and blackheads, these particular peels made the biggest difference.

img_9279

I have mentioned my Clarisonic* numerous times on all my social media channels and that’s because I now can’t live without it. The Mia Fit is so compact and easy to use. I was utterly shocked at seeing the amount of product it removed from my face, even after washing prior with my old method. I have this device to thank for my clean skin. Coming from someone who pretty much always had a fiery red whitehead somewhere on my face, and now I only get the very occasional one. The combination of my Clarisonic and AHA’s has done my skin a world of good and I actually feel confident showing my bare face – I would never ever of guessed that!

img_3234

CINCH Face Cheat* has been a really surprising discovery. This little one-step wonder provides 5 different benefits in one. I like using it as a primer, an added boost of hydration and even a little added glow during the day.  The product itself is light enough to work with my greaseball face but really gives me a good dose of moisture. Face Cheat is innovative, practical and a whole heap of fun.

My absolute favourite moisturiser of the year has been Clinique Moisiture Surge*. This gel-cream hybrid just works so damn well with my skin. It is light and refreshing but really packs a punch in the hydration department. It leaves my skin soft and plump without leaving behind any sticky residue or oil. It is perfect to use in the morning before makeup and moisturising enough to use at night before bed. I love this little pink jar of goodness.

HAIRCARE

I am a bit of a creature of habit when it comes to haircare. I know what works for me and I generally stick with it.But, with that being said, I fell in love with a hydrating Mask. That mask would be the Tigi Catwalk Oatmeal & Honey Intense Nourishing Mask**. This mask smells so so so good and leaves my hair so silky soft. It isn’t too heavy and really hydrates my dry, fine strands. I like to use it a few times a week to maintain the health of my hair. I have gone through 4(!) of these tubs and I am just about onto my fifth. My new haircare love.

IMG_3188 (2)

MISC.

This is a bit of a strange inclusion, but I really wanted to mention it. The Juju cup is a menstrual cup that cuts down on waste and costs while being a more natural and safer alternative to tampons. It is super practical and once you get the hang of it, it is really easy to use. I won’t go into too much detail, for those who aren’t interested. But I am happy to chat to anyone who is slightly curious.

Laser Clinic Australia has been a frequently visited place this year. After taking the plunge and getting laser hair removal. I have also had semi regular peels and microdermabrasions**. These treatments really give my skin a boost, and is just a little more heavy-duty than my at-home skincare and my skin has really been reaping the benefits.  LCA always have incredible deals going, I got my laser for only $19 a session which is cheaper than buying razors! It has been so amazing not to worry about any hair when going to the beach or wearing a summer dress. All the treatments that I have had done were pain-free, fuss-free and positive experiences. I already have a few session booked in for January and February.

You’re still here? Well done! Thank you for reading my meaningless dribble. What have your favourites been in the last year? Did we have anything similar?

Lush Empties – Quick Review

Hello!

img_2559

I am sure you are all aware of the LUSH container recycling program, I stash mine away util my next visit to Lush to grab a new Fresh Facial Cleanser. I am in the process of moving and came across my empties – There was a lot more there than I expected. I thought it’d be a good post to publish, as I and I’m sure others, find Lush a little hit and miss at times. I want to keep this super simple and quick because there is so many products. I’ll keep my best from rambling and keep reviews short and to the point.

HAIR

Big Shampoo (x2)
The mere fact that there is two of these empties says something. Everything about this I love. It gives my fine hair oomph, it makes it shiny, and goddamn it smells incredible. I will re-purchase over and over.

Retread Hair Conditioner
This doesn’t do much for my hair. The formula is quite-light and not as nourishing on my hair that I had hoped. It smells fresh and reminds me of fruit and yogurt. I would possibly re-purchase for the scent alone.

Marilyn Hair Treatment
This treatment is used to break up brassy tones, provide extra nourishment and the chamomile is used to naturally lighten the hair. I didn’t like this much. The formula is quite thick and my hair felt like it had a greasy film on it. My hair was limp and lack-lustre. There was no difference to the brassiness nor did my hair feel hydrated. I didn’t notice any lightening either. No repurchase for this this one.

Daddy-O Shampoo
A really good purple toning shampoo. It leaves hair really shiny and all yellow tones are removed. Does dry out my hair a touch, but that isn’t hard. A really great natural alternative to my favourite hair toning product. Would spend more cash on Daddy-O.

Rehab Shampoo
Super fresh and fruity shampoo. Dried out my hair and left it with that ‘squeaky’ clean feeling that I really don’t like. My Boyfriend enjoyed this one, however. He may re-purchase, but I wouldn’t.

Damaged Hot Oil Treatment
Another hair product that missed the mark with me. I wish I would have read more about this product before I used it. I used the whole lot on my hair in one go, next time I’d only use a quarter or so. My hair was covered in a thick hardened mess after letting it sit and process. It took forever to get out of my hair and the results weren’t all that good – It’s a no from me.

Cynthia Sylvia Stout Beer Shampoo
I like this guy. It’s earthy and dark, and makes my hair super silky and shiny. It wasn’t overly drying and lathered up well. A great one for the guys, or those of us who love rich beer-y goodness.

American Cream Hair Conditioner
This scent is everything! So creamy, soft and feminine but not overly sweet. Exactly like a strawberry milkshake. I had to use a fair bit of this on my hair to keep it happy and healthy, but the fragrance made up for that. I could smell the intoxicating scent for hours and hours afterwards.  Yes to a repurchase.

R&B Hair Moisturiser
Love this fresh scent, it is one of my favourites. As the for the product itself, not great. You are meant to use it as a leave-in conditioner but regardless of how much or how little I use my hair is weighed down, and limp looking. There is no body, life and swishyness. No more spending money on this, thank you.

FACE

Kalamazoo Beard and Face Wash
This was my boyfriend’s. I bought it for his beard, but sneakily used it in the shower to test it out. Cleansed the face nicely and removed makeup well. The scent was very mild but slightly fruity. Kane’s review on the products is  ‘Yeah, it was pretty good.’ – What insight. Possible repurchase when the beard grows back.

Dark Angles Fresh Cleanser
I have bought this time and time again. Perfect for acne-prone and oily skin types. Smells a little like licorice and is jet back in colour. Scrubs away the day with ease and leaves the skin feeling soft and supple but cleansed. Will continue to purchase this black bad boy.

Ultrabland Facial Cleanser
Quite an oily cleanser, which makes it ideal for makeup removal. It is a great first step in the double cleansing method. I do like this cleanser, but only for makeup removal. Otherwise, it is difficult to remove and leaves a really oily film on the skin. Probably wouldn’t repurchase as I prefer other oil based cleansers.

Love Lettuce Face Mask
One of my favourite fresh face mask. It smells fresh and feels really nice on the skin. I love the added extra rough bits for exfoliation. Will probably grab another of these as my freebies for returning 5 tubs.

IMG_6398 (2)

Don’t Look At Me Fresh Face Mask
I adore this mask, it is probably my favourite thus far. The colour alone is amazing; a bright electric blue. This particular mask is quite grainy which is great for a deeper exfoliation and cleanse. Full of salt and lemons, it smells very beachy. This could possibly be a little too harsh or drying on sensitive skin. But it works perfectly for my grease ball of a mug. A big resounding yes for repurchase from me.

9-5 Cleansing Lotion
Really nice all-round cleanser. Gentle but very effective. Doesn’t strip the skin nor does it leave behind and residue. Quite similar to the Philosophy Purity facial cleanser. Works really well with the Clarisonic and Foreo Devices. Will repurchase.

Cosmetic Warrior Fresh Face Mask
Ehhhh, I feel nothing for this mask. It’s not great and it’s not terribly bad. The scent is a little off-putting but I could deal with it if the mask worked miracles – But it doesn’t. It is quite a creamy mask that doesn’t dry down and tends to leave me wanting something extra. I think it would better suited to dry skin types that needs a lot of heavy hydration. I won’t be grabbing this one again.

BODY WASH

So White Shower Gel
Stunning white, shimmery shower gel. Scent is crispy and fresh. Fills the whole bathroom with a beautiful apple fragrance. The body wash doesn’t dry out my skin and cleans like a charm. This little guy is LE but if I see it again I would no doubt repurchase.

IMG_2801

Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub
I’ve bought this one a few times. Really nice is the warmer months. The scent is gorgeous and remind me of eating oranges at the beach. Not my most favourite of body scrubs, but I sure give it a work out. I like to use it to prep for fake tan as there is no oily residue like other salt or sugar based scrubs. I’m sure this one will make its way back into my collection.

Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie
I really liked the super moisturising properties of the shower smoothies. Great for very dehydrated skin. Smells of roses, but not sickly sweet nor like my grandmother – A happy medium between the two. Will re-purchase.

OTHER

D’Fluff Shaving Soap
I see absolutely no use in shaving cream and soaps. I actually find the idea quite gimmicky and a little bit redundant, to be brutally honest. I confusingly ended up with 3 different shaving products somehow. Out of the three, I liked this one the best. It smells like strawberry shortcake and the whipped formula spreads lovely across the skin. It washes it off easily and skin is left nourished and smooth. Wouldn’t purchase again only because of my firm stance on shaving creams.

Dirty Shaving Cream
Did nothing for me – The scent didn’t win me over either. More of a uni-sex fragrance, but it was really mild and almost undetectable. Not for me.

Ambrosia Shaving Cream
Smells really lovely and is a thinner formula than the two shaving products above. Did feel nice on the skin and felt really nourishing. Nice product, but again I find shaving creams pointless.

Vanillary
My absolute favourite everyday perfume. Creamy, buttery, vanillary goodness. I always get complimented on the scent when I wear it. This is probably my 5th bottle and currently have two more on the go. Yes, yes and more yes.If you love vanilla like me, this is for you.

Mint Julips Lip Scrub
I love Lush lip scrubs and like to alternate between this one and Popcorn. They really buff up my lips to plump pillow-y softness. I use this most days in the shower to get rid of dry flakes on my chronically dry lips. Will buy another lip scrub when I am in Lush next.

What are you all-time favourite Lush products? What else should I purchase on my next visit.

The incredibly talented hair stylists from leading international hair salon, PREMA, have created looks using only TIGI products to reflect the unique style of each of the suburbs. The City
She’s all business during the day and lets loose at night with a feminine energy we love. Think strong, sleek and polished.

Newtown
She’s laidback and effortlessly cool, with a style as transient as she is. Think quirky, creative and unique styling.

 Bondi

She’s beach chic, relaxed and always knows that less is more. Think beachy waves and effortless style.

 Surry Hills

She is understated with a strong identity, her style is raw and organic. Think understated glam.

I thought I would try and re-create a couple of these looks – try being the operative word. We all know how hopeless I am when It comes to hairstyling. Let’s see how I go. I think the looks I identify most with is the Surry Hills effortlessly cool, understated style. I’m not always super polished, I like a little bit more of a casual and relaxed look.

I adore this look! It was so super easy to achieve and the results were perfect. I actually impressed myself with how well I did. This is definitely a style that I would wear. I can wear this to work, on the weekend for coffee dates or I could even make it work for a night out. LOVE LOVE LOVE.  I have attempted to re-create style before from magazines, blogs etc etc. and I have never achieved the desired results, but with this one, I am blown away.

This is my attemptat the second Surry Hills style. This look is quite polished yet simple. I like this look, however my hair looks similar to this when I let it dry naturally without the product and heat. It is definitely a style I would wear when I am after something classic and simple. It has been super fun to play around with my hair and dedicate time and effort to it. I also loved learning about what each of the product does and how to add it into my daily routine.

Unfortunately, this giveaway will only be open to Australian residents, due to the weight of the hamper. All you need to do is watch the videos above and comment on this blog post with which style resonated most with you. Competition will close Sunday 25th September at 11:59pm. Winner will be announced shortly afterwards. Good Luck!
